Girona sits about 100 km north of Barcelona and takes a little over an hour by road. It is a common transfer for three quite different reasons: the city itself, the airport that carries its name, and the cathedral steps that draw a steady stream of visitors.
The train is fast between the two city centres, but it does not help if you are starting at El Prat with luggage, arriving late, or heading somewhere other than the station. A private car removes the transfers at both ends.
Girona airport is a further 15 minutes beyond the city and serves a large share of the Costa Brava charter traffic. If you are connecting between El Prat and Girona airport, tell us both flight numbers and we will build in a sensible margin.
This route runs outside the AMB metered zone, so we confirm a fixed price up front. Vehicles range from a standard four-seat taxi to the seven-seat V-Class for families and groups.
How this route is priced
AMB meter tariffs cover the Barcelona metropolitan area only. Girona lies beyond it, so this journey runs on the interurban tariff set by the Generalitat de Catalunya: T-6 on weekdays between 08:00 and 20:00, and the higher T-7 at night, at weekends and on holidays.
